I lost ~25kg after my first child and ~17kg after my second baby. In both post-partum journeys my progress was slow and steady and I did not rush back into exercise – I started at the gym 8 weeks after my first baby and 16 weeks after my second. My weight loss was the result of a well-rounded diet with appropriate portions. As a mum, I know just how important it is to be able to schedule workouts in and around children, and to have budget and family-friendly meal choices. I personally exercise at the gym 3-4 times per week and also get outside for walks with the kids when I can a few times a week.
I feel privileged to be able to show my journey post-partum with other women through social media and to show women that it IS possible! It is possible to live a balanced life without restriction or any extreme methods and also stay fit and healthy.
Healthy looks and feels different on everybody so I encourage all of my clients to focus on their own achievements.
I am extremely passionate about flexible dieting principles. I eat a variety of macronutrients and micronutrients and also allowing for “fun foods”- food that is good for the soul! Any diet that excludes food groups or meals that you love is not sustainable and therefore neither will the results be.
