Stop comparing ourselves to others!!
Most of us do it – we see someone on the street, on social media, on TV and think I wish I looked like them, they have nice legs, body, face, why don’t I look like that!! They have a great job, house – why can’t I have that too!!
We are all so different, why would we want to be a copy of each other. We are individuals and should be proud of the people that we are.
You can use comparison as a motivator to improve what actually matters to you. Who do you admire and what type of comparisons maybe healthy for you? Use comparison to become a better version of you and make your corner of the world a better place. Let it be a door opener to possibilities. Let it be an inspiration for what you can be, do and have in life.
If you need to compare yourself with someone, compare yourself with you. What can you do to improve your life quality? How can you be a better and more loving person? How can you be nicer to yourself than you were yesterday? You are the only person you can compare yourself with.
Who inspires you to live better, in the way that matters most? Spend time and thoughts on this.
Remind yourself what is good in your life, right now!! There is so much.
Be grateful for the good in your life, and resist any negative thoughts that shout “It’s not enough”
Commit daily to being deeply grateful for the good things in your life. Remind yourself that other people’s outsides do not compare to your insides.
Accept where you are right now and make decisions that will move you in the right direction for you. Embrace your past, your story and how much you have grown from it. Be proud of what you have done and wanting to create a better life for yourself.
No one is perfect and trying to be perfect is not the solution. Embrace your flaws, imperfections and quirks – you are perfectly imperfect!!
If the story you’re telling yourself isn’t one of empowerment, strength and optimism – then tell a better story. Tell yourself you’re brave enough to try something new.
Comparing ourselves to others often leaves us feeling frustrated and anxious about moving forward. It doesn’t help in creating the life we want. Instead, it just takes away valuable time and energy that could have been spent on building our future. Spend your time investing, creating and caring for yourself not wasting time comparing your path to someone else’s.
Whenever you focus on what other people have that you don’t, you give away your power.
So, take back your power from all the people, places, and situations where you’ve left it and bring it back home. Decide that your energy will be used for believing, not doubting, and for creating, not destroying.
Focus on you. Focus on watering your grass and building your path. Focus on being the best that you can be and share that with the rest of us.
You can do this!!
